DISCOVERING FIRE 2 DAY COURSE
 

This course is specifically tailored for people who not only want to create fire by natural methods, but to discover the techniques used,

You will learn how to source your own materials, learn how to put them together in the right way to create friction fires,
 

People generally get a great buzz from picking up a pre-made Bow Drill Kit and achieving fire by friction, But to be taught and physically gather your own materials and to create fire after fire with the materials selected gives a tremendous feeling of achievement,

The buzz you get can only be surpassed by then going away and sharing your newly gained skill with others,

On this course you will also learn how to make your own firesteel on an open fire in the woods and then marry it up with the best natural tinder materials, You even make your own leather pouch to carry it in,
 

Once you have made your kit up you will be able to light fire the natural way thousands of times over,

Time permitting we will also study fire pistons, How they are made and how they function,

Your accommodation for the weekend will be in outdoor shelters  which have been  pre-made using natural materials from the woods, Alternatively you can bring a basher sheet or even make your own shelter,

All meals will be provided and will be gathered from nature's larder and prepared by yourselves on the open fire, This will also cover gutting and skinning skills, and other food gathering,

Alan guarantees you will succeed with your fire by friction, and if not you will be able to join another discovering fire course until you do,

Every participant who takes part receives an A4 Certificate at the end of their Course, In years to come this certificate will remind you of your achievement and bring back fond memories,
 

The course runs from Saturday morning 9.00am to Sunday mid to late afternoon,

As usual you will be in a relaxed and friendly environment to learn your new skills,
